I dont even understand why you made a first attempt. You just want to feel better about having all your Pokémon cards in cases that are for sports cards. Just ignore what i have to say, or send them all to beckett like youve been anticipating since my thread.
Lmao, no but when I recieved my first psa card, as I carefully examined it the moment i turned it around i said “Sports authenticators ” Ever since then my OCD cant find a reasonable explanations to why my Charizard(a Pokémon/anime character) is in this case. I dont know why you guys are pissing in your own cereal, unless deep down inside you know im right.
I will continue to use PSA. They are the industry standard. I won’t use Beckett, I’ve never claimed I would either. You need to put your jealousy/hatred/displeasure/whatever it is aside and build a bridge. We’re all over your issues. Just drop it please.
Ok then keep them in there nobody is telling you not too, jelousy? More like dissapointment. Youre right though, why dont just drop it and stop bringing it up in further posts. (Or send them in to beckett already) just drop it though foreal, dont hurt yourself.
I dont understand. Beckett is also more sports focused. Sports cards have been around a lot longer than pokemon and thats what both companies started out grading. Is this seriously about what PSA stands for? Thats the worst reason ive ever heard for not liking psa.
Ok. Ive made my point, and i hope in the near future I can send my cards to beckett since they use metalic labels, an etched logo and dont have the sports emphasis that really bothers me. But if i ever send in my baseball cards theyre going straight to PSA. But thats just me dont get your panties in a bunch.
Honestly as long as it doesnt emphasize sports everytime i look at it im ok with it. Are you going to drop this anytime soon?because the faster i get in the last word the faster we can end this and keep acknowledging the fact that “gary still had the first beckett black label though”
I’m sorry but these petty arguments over the word sports needs to stop, this “issue” with the word sports is literally pathetic, it’s a word in a company name, get over it and if you can’t then don’t grade your cards, beckett is literally the same as psa but smaller, NO grading companies are setup for pokemon cards specifically, at all, so by your argument you hate beckett too, it was even pointed out you should by someone else and you just brushed it off because it put a huge whole in your argument and you just wanted to continue winding people up. Trading card gradings are just an extension of the main services offered, sports cards/signed objects being graded and authenticated. You seriously need to stop because you are the only person I can name in this community who continually tries to argue with people and it’s not good for us as a group to have to constantly mediate between people arguing, this is supposed to be a resource and hub for like minded people, not a place to just argue over anything and try to wind people up.
Theyre not sports cards, simple. Ill say it again though, thats MY issue why are you taking it personal. If you love it then by all means, but the fact of the matter is theyre not sports related, and you all should recognize that, sorry im not sorry.
Anytime people try and discuss Beckett, I always have to reference this video.
The problem I have with Beckett is that they are way to lenient on the 1/1 and/or ultra rare printed cards. More specifically, they are too concerned with the potential value of a card, especially ultra rare sports cards. Even in the video, the fat guy in the middle cannot stop talking about what cards have gone through Beckett’s hands, and more importantly, how much each earned.
It is one thing to get excited, but another when you are clearly going soft on cards with limited releases to earn more publicity. The card in the video had indents, and was off centered, but is a 9.5 Gem Mint…
Oh and in regards to the whole sports card word on label whatever, I would rather have a company whose label contains the word “sports” than a company who panders to ultra rare sports cards. You want a company that is consistently critical, that way when you earn a high grade it was earned on its merits.
