The Fanatics Collect [formally PWCC] Megathread

I’m no fan of fanatics but if we’re being honest, PWCC had similar issues at least two times in the past where bidding didn’t work and the block was relisted.

bid as you would again – they will return the money or can work out with support so you don’t have to pay it immediately until its properly refunded. Hope you can win it again tn

Just received a refund a couple of minutes ago, haven’t had to use the support until now but did hear it was pretty shocking when Fanatics took over so was worried about it being a hassle but it was sorted very fast thankfully. Hopefully I can win it again thank you :pikacry:

Did you win again?

I did win them all again thankfully but overpaid an embarrassing amount on one of the cards unfortunately

I take back what I said. “Watching” is back. Now it only takes 2 clicks to get to my watched items instead of 5 clicks.

Man, people flipping these and paying fees again in less than two months will never not be wild to me

Are there any UK collectors who can tell me whether or not you have to pay import tax on cards you receive from your vault?

The sorting of Pokemon cards is atrocious on Fanatics Collect. It used to be sorted by set release. Now it’s sorted by year, so you can be scrolling through 1st Ed Base, Shadowless, Fossil, Jungle, Japanese Neo Premium Files, Black Star Movie Promos, etc. all mixed together because of the 1999 release date.

Ugh.

Yes, HMRC applies customs duties to imported goods valued above GBP 135. The rate will be 20% + any additional fees such as a handling fee.

Always make sure to read and understand this article.

Shame, looks like they’ll be staying there. Thanks for your insight, much appreciated.

I just got back about 50 cards from the vault and this is the nastiest case I’ve ever gotten. Some brown sticky sauce is all over my cat! I never noticed it in the scans, but it is actually there and I just missed it.

Everytime this happens I’m like how do people live where their cases are this dirty?!
