I thought at first it was wacky Celebi.
Wow I would’ve bid on the Akabane at that price:
Almost identical Ooyama card sold for $4,080 back in September:
This one has already been available for sale (and sold for 8.1k USD) in the first block of them:
Greetz,
Quuador
I don’t think it’ll reach $8k again.
Perhaps it’s a coincidence but I have a couple zubat, golbat and crowbats signed by harada from that same 2004 worlds tournament. Maybe they were playable or something?
yup, this Hirada-illustrated Crobat from Hidden Legends was quite playable that year, although I don’t think it had any super strong finishes
For those of you who are interested, Rusty is selling some of the original batch on eBay.
Previously sold for $4,920. RIP to Rusty’s wallet on this one.

they’re still really cool, but the cut/ custom card made them really niche. good on Rusty (as always) to make that clear, even at his expense.
oof
A bit more than I expected tbh
I thought it would end at $800, so it exceeded my expectations too.
Price still too high for a fake card.
I’m not a fan of signatures on cards in general, however these sort of things appeal to me, as the card being signed is fake/fan made and thus holds no value, the signature/sketch is the star of the show, which I can appreciate.
