I have a non-holo Legendary Collection Charizard; it’s not in tatters but it’s probably a 4 or 5 grade at best. Is it still worth while (in a monetary sense) for me to submit it to PSA, or should I not bother? Would this result in it only fetching a few more dollars (obviously depending on the results of the grade) than just keeping it raw?
Related question; for cards that are in questionable condition but otherwise valuable cards, is it beneficial to get them graded?
I wouldn’t bother grading anything with noticeable damage unless it was something like a 1st edition base zard. The condition is so important when sending in cards, you want to make sure its worth your time effort and money.
It totally depends on you and what you want to do with the card. If you are thinking about selling it’s probably not the smartest thing to grade it. For lower condition cards raw can sometimes go higher than graded low. Depends on the card though.
I for example have a very beat up LC reverse Charizard and I graded it for sentimental values. It’s a PSA 3 but I don’t care It still looks nice in a PSA slab and I wont sell it away.
Not worth it at all, it’s about a $10 card. You might earn a premium if it was one of the more popular Zards, but I just don’t see it for Legendary Collection… especially the non holo version.
I would personally grade as set cards only charizard and blastoise base set 1st and rayquaza gold star. Because this 3 card value of psa 1 is different to psa 5 for example. The other card I think it’s better ungraded if there are psa 4 or low. I hope I can help you with my idea
