Around $3600 for mint condition 1st Edition Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Rocket and Gym Heroes booster boxes as well as a 1, 2 & 3 '98 Pika Trophy set, Trophy Khan and a bunch of other promos.

Got a collection on March,paid £550 and made £1300+ and it got my eBay shop up and running .The guys girlfriend said to him it’s me or the pokemon cards,he knew what they were worth so it was a great deal.
When I was 12 or so (around 2001 I want to say) I was lucky enough to buy a 1st Edition Base Set Charizard, Blastoise and Raichu for $100 from someone at the Pokemon League I used to attend! I ran over to my dad and begged him to give me the $100! (What 12 year old walks around with 100$ in his pocket?)
Still have those cards today! Will take them to the grave

A rather large collection of WoTC holos worth close to £1000 in total. Paid £25 for it at a car boot sale.
I don’t think you can beat car boot sales for great deals. The people selling cards that way almost inherently have no idea what their collections are worth, and you’re not competing directly with dozens of other collectors the way you would be on Ebay.

A complete Base Set Holo set off of Ebay for $23 Shipped. Also included duplicates of a few Holos… There was no picture in the listing. But, I took a chance because of Ebay’s buyer protection.

I’ve gotten pretty good grades on some cards I paid a fair price for. The increase in value was a good deal.
I only really buy exactly what I’m looking for, so that’s about as close to an amazing deal I can get.
