Insane to think of it like that. But, with the layout of the set I find it less “stressful” since we already know all the cards. With rocket I was always wondering which pokemon were going to be included or not

Some veteran artists like OOYAMA like to come back for special sets like this, 151, VSTAR Universe, etc On the other hand, a couple of the new high profile non-Pokémon artists might only be one-time collaborations (e.g. mochipuyo, Tetsuo Hara, Natsuko Shoji été)

Agreed on the different artists for each AR/SAR being a strong possibility. I noticed from the first drop of ARs and one SAR they were all different folks.
This set may have something for essentially everyone who collects certain artists (out of the active ones).
My top 8 favorites are all current and may feature in this set and that is crazy, never thought I’d see the day. Jiro Sasumo and Ryota Murayama are already on Snivy’s line (my 3rd and 8th favorite) so 6 to go!
Someone help me out here, is that black part attached to their white mustache also part of the facial hair, or their mouth? I never paid them much attention even playing BW because I thought they were ugly but now I’m compelled to know.

Pokémon Reveals New Split Expansion Launching Soon for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare
May 6, 2025 — The Pokémon Company International announced today that a new split expansion for the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare, will be available beginning July 18, 2025, at participating retailers worldwide.
Split between the Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare expansions, players can look forward to collecting cards featuring the 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. In addition, each Unova Pokémon will appear as an illustration rare or special illustration rare style card found in either Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt or Scarlet & Violet—White Flare associated products.
Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt will feature the Legendary Pokémon Zekrom, while Scarlet & Violet—White Flare will feature the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram. Each expansion will include three different parallel foil sets, two of which will feature either a rainbow Poké Ball or Master Ball pattern shimmering across the card. Furthermore, players can look forward to collecting new cards with features last seen in the Black & White Series, including cards that will feature a nostalgic foil pattern and Basic Energy cards featuring the original Black & White Series designs.
Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare each include different variations of the following noteworthy cards:
- Six Pokémon ex
- Eight ultra rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- One illustration rare or special illustration rare card for each Unova Pokémon
- One special illustration rare Supporter card
In addition, Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare will introduce the highly styled Black White rare cards, which will feature card illustrations in a monochromatic black or white design.
