I have cracked the barrier on a new, vastly superior storage option for my flip coin collection that I am excited to share.
Previously I stored them in this special binder in cardboard squares, which were suitable but I was unhappy with it for a variety of reasons.
The coins didn’t stay put and rotated in their holders. There was also a lot of contact between the coin and the plastic masking, which made me nervous. I’d been exploring “elevated” methods of storing my coins for a while and finally found something I’m really happy with. Behold!

This particular box holds 10 trays and each tray holds 15 coins.
There is also another box of a similar shape and a styling I preferred over this one, but it only holds 4 trays (60 coins) which is unfortunately not enough for my collection.
I wish they had a 75, which would have been perfect, but you gotta work with what exists.

Or you know, get something custom and one of a kind made. Downside is it might cost a lot more.

I have done this with collections I know for sure are complete, but I have to be careful doing that with anything that’s still growing or could grow.
For example, this coin collection capped out at 60 coins last year but since then 3 more have been found. If I had something produced to perfectly fit 60 coins, I’d be awfully disappointed right now.
But yes — custom storage is my ultimate fantasy.

Wow, that really looks very exquisite. Super upgrade! The lack of white surrounding the coins is very pleasing to look at for me personally and it looks very sophisticated.
Seems like that mafia monies are kicking in!

Definitely looks a lot more premium—an upgrade for sure! The contrast of the black case/holder also makes the color of the coins pop a lot more, especially the green/yellow/blue coins.
