@joponnes Thank you so much, I just checked out your Slime collection too and it’s amazing as well – hooray for species collecting! The non-TCG stuff is some of my favorite for sure, and I’m grateful Slowking is such a huge part of the Pokemon 2000 movie because it resulted in the Topps cards here I’ll be sharing lots more non-TCG in the future, just waiting for a few more things to come in.
The endless loop of “just these few things to arrive before i’ll share my collection” looking forward to that day!
Can you spot the Slowpoke? Hints below!
I collect one of each cameo artwork, any language or variant is fine. I consider Recall and Poke Maniac to be “Slowpoke cards” because Slowpoke is the main feature, so they’re a part of my English and Japanese Master Sets as well.
Card List (with hints)
Sabrina’s Gastly 96/132 (Gastly is a shadowy character)
Southern Islands Raticate #6
Southern Islands Ivysaur #5 (I’ll just dip my toes in)
Pokepark’s Mudkip #3
Poncho Pikachu #203/XY-P
Pikachu 173/165 (Pikachu, give me a hand here)
Wiglett 206/198 (You guys go swimming, I’ll just chill here)
Flareon VMAX #SWSH180 (Field work is exhausting)
Recall 116/132
Poke Maniac 204/236
Poke Maniac 236/236
Very neat! I’m a little surprised there aren’t more Slowpoke line cameos. I thought Slowpoke was relatively popular, and it’s involvement in the Slowpoke well incident in Gold/Silver would give it some sort of cameo on some Team-Rocket-related card.
My last English card arrived today, and I am so excited to finally share my English Slowpoke Line Master Set!!!
I shared a list of all the cards in this thread.
This looks awesome!! Congrats on the binder!!
Thank you!
Big congrats! Completing a language, especially a major one like English, is always an amazing feeling.
Greetz,
Quuador
Much congratulations. Must be a really good feeling to complete such a great goal. The binder pages look amazing and beautiful. Thanks for sharing the update.
Cheers!
Beautiful collection, I love the organization!
Also I would copy the keychain idea for my Porygon Collection binder.
Congratulations. What a nice layout . I love the binder choice.
@niece @mrbubbles @Quuador @Dyl Thank you all for your kind words, it means a lot!
@Kratosso Thank you so much – I got them on Etsy and there were a few options! Maybe there are some for Porygon. I just ordered this adorable one for my non-TCG binder as well
Amazing!!
A little late here, but great collection! The Slow line has so many great arts, and it’s really great to see them all here together! It’d be hard to pick favorites, but I do love the Aquapolis and HGSS lines quite a bit!
Look forward to seeing other languages sometime!
Even though this collection is always a work in progress, I feel it’s time to share my non-TCG binder! I truly love non-TCG and am excited to keep adding to this part of my collection.
Bonus: Plushies and more!
Wow, just a great collection. I know the amount of non-tcg items for species collectors can be endless so seeing these many variety of items really is a testament to dedication of species collectors. The binders looks really nice. Thanks for an amazing update.
Cheers!
Absolutely great collection! I’m curious if you have some specific goals regarding non tcg, and also how deep you are in the variant game, like for example if you aren’t aware those bandai kids mini cards have a dozen of different backs
Thank you so much @mrbubbles for the kind words!
@joponnes it’s a great question, and one I’m still evaluating. Currently, I’m not trying to collect every single non-TCG item out there, just picking up items I like when I see them for a good price. I didn’t know about the Bandai cards you mentioned, but I do know there’s different backs for the Poker cards. Like @mrbubbles said, it feels like there’s a truly endless amount of non-TCG out there! This is especially true for Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon, and I’ve got 3 of them
Currenly, my collection goals are to complete English and Japanese TCG master sets, and collect all-language TCG exclusives, holos, and stamps. For non-TCG, I get things I like when I see them. We’ll see if that evolves as my collection grows
