Skyridge booster box

Hi all

Recently acquired a skyridge booster box and trying to work out whether to open or not. A few questions:

  1. any idea on the pull rates for crystal cards? I’ve heard 2 per box but unsure if that’s likely 1 holo and 1 reverse?

  2. is it possible to weigh for the holos / crystals in this box?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Skyridge boxes are best kept sealed in my opinion. It is very expensive and does not justify the holos(which are very probable 10s from the pop report) you may get in them. You should get 1-4 crystal with an average of 2-3 i think. But having a total of 12 crystals that are possible from this set (holos and RH), this makes it slim to pull the biggest crystals in the set, holo zard, ho-oh and celebi.

My opinion, the box stays sealed

Don’t open it. Don’t do it.

Best to keep it sealed if you’re looking for investors value.

Weighing is stealing so not likely you’ll get help with that on a reputable and honest site like ours.

I just opened an aquapolis straight up, no weighing, opened the whole box and I got 0 crystals. I think both sets are supposed to be 2 crystals or so per box. Luckily I had south of $2k into that box and got great grades on my holos, but a skyrdige box I am assuming you have a fair bit more into it than that. I open everything I get my hands on ( I have a problem and can’t keep stuff sealed ), but I will likely never get another one of these boxes again because the price just wouldn’t make any sense at all to open IMO.

Everytime I see someone open an old box which I do not own, I cry a little on the inside.

Everytime I see someone open an old box which I do own a copy of, I smile.

(I don’t own any boxes myself so it’s usually just a lot of crying)

I have no idea there was 1-4 crystals per box.

I thought it was like 1 a box or 1 every 2 boxes.

Amaze balls.

Thanks all for the responses - sounds a bit risky to open given the variation in number of crystals.

In terms of weighing, I don’t really see a problem in that if you advertise the remaining packs as such? It gives people a cheaper way of buying the artworks that they may not have been able to buy? If it really is frowned upon ill refrain from doing so!

Thanks again
Joe

Weighing packs is fine, just make sure to clearly advertise that they are weighed if you try to sell. We just can’t publicly give you advice on weighing as everyone would be able to see it. We don’t need people knowing how as a lot of sellers do not advertise that the packs are weighed even when they know they are.

If you advertise it the one who buys from you won’t which makes you responsible for ripping off kids.
What’s your eBay id?

A slightly slippery slope, in my opinion. I don’t think it’d be fair to blame OP if whoever buys from him has bad intentions, since there is a market for weighed packs with honest buyers. It’d be like (though not as extreme) blaming the sellers of the shadowless Charizards for the ones who subsequently put fake 1st edition stamps on them and sold them both altered and falsely advertised.

There are actually people who intentionally buy weighed packs and open for the reverse holos. They should definitely be getting a nice discount though.

Also this is just another reason why not to buy loose packs unless you are going for reverse holos or for the artwork or it is from a trusted seller with a ton of packs like donale had on ebay with his jungle unlimited and jungle 1st ediition the last 2 years.

Option A: Leave sealed.
Option B: Open it.
If you choose option A you can always choose option B later.
If you choose Option B you can never choose again.

My opinion, don’t open it. You may regret it later on.

Let’s avoid the discussion on the merits of weighing packs.

Don’t

Do it.

I think the funnest part of collecting is opening the packs and not knowing what’s inside. If you can live with losing the value of a sealed product I would go ahead and enjoy opening!

Agreed with a slight addendum there
