Skateboard Decks

I wasn’t aware I’d be punched upside the head with nostalgia this morning. Great collection!

Legitimately the greatest cancel flip I have ever seen :face_holding_back_tears:

In the last few months I have sold many of the decks in my collection, but I have held on to all of my signed decks from the OG THPS1 lineup in my attempts to acquire a ‘full set’.

Unfortunately it has been a hard market for vintage decks over the last few years so I have been sitting back waiting to strike on the good stuff while I liquidate the alrights.

Only ones missing are Rune Glifberg, arguably the hardest to acquire because hes Danish I have still yet to see one of his pro models with his signature alone. Then there are Andrew Reynolds and Rodney Mullen who both have plenty of signed decks on the market, but any vintage 90’s era signed ones fetch significant premiums.

The hunt is still on

I encourage any and all of you to please post your deck picks :eggplant::sneezing_face: cough seriously though, i cant be the only one on here that is into skateboarding and poorly keeping this thread alive

Love this thread! How do you even source these vintage decks, is it mostly eBay?
I still keep my eye out for a vintage toy machine one!

Mostly Ebay; when I got really into around 2020 the market had lots of rare vintage stuff going up for auction and not a lot of interest - I think everyone was busy with pokemon, mtg, and sports cards and these were flying under the radar. Since then Ebay has turned to a really hard market for the rarer stuff.

Jamie Thomas has an instragram shop called Garagedayscollection and he is constantly selling his old swag, a lot of this goes up on Ebay as well.

Some other pros will throw their vintage stuff up every once in a while on their own shops: I have seen this with Chad Muska, Geoff Rowley’s defunct Freedome skateboards, and Jason Lee’s Stereo skateboards, so if they have a page thats one of the best places to look and send a message!

One time I saw Marc McKee, renown skateboard graphics artist, was selling some oldies and I dm’d him about other stuff in my THPS scope of interest. He said he had a signed Rodney Mullen A-Team pro model but refused to sell it no matter what I offered :sleepy:

Hello all skateboard deck enthusiasts!

I was persusing Ebay and came across a deck that I find interesting and wanted to share to show what the market looks like today. I was messaging a seller about his personal collection and he offered to sell this signed Andrew Reynolds Goosebumps deck for $1000 from his private collection circa 2020:

As we well know, asking price is not market value but interesting nonetheless.

Not sure if its the same guy but it was too rich for my blood back then and im excited to see if and what it sells for now that it’s public.

Also, compared to the care put into card collecting I am mortified by the lack of care for decks… what if it falls over? Scratches? Pshhh. Its still the pre-sleeve wild west over here.
