Upon suggestion, there will be more exclusive special art cards for Mainland China so a news thread will help compile the updates - that includes releases unrelated to the following threads:
TPC probably thinks exclusivity isn’t needed to promote Japan as it has already reached peak popularity. Exclusivity sells the language and China [Simplified Chinese] has the most growth potential of any, so a lot of them are focused there. The last JP exclusive special art was the 2023 Worlds Yokohama Pikachu ex, right when Japan was experiencing its largest modern boom. UPC Charizard VMAX and Raging Surf SAR Victini ex becoming available in Asian languages outside Japan later that year were the first signs of a tonal shift
Also, for anyone wondering if these promos are still JP exclusive, they’re already available in Korean:
Thanks for the thoughts @Ratequaza and @koala yeah that makes a lot sense. I’m loving most of these arts so I’m glad they are so bullish releasing them!
Sorry I don’t believe the v cards have a stamp no but the other have stamps as one version of rev there will also most likely be pokeball and masterball of each design I shared also the confetti holo. The whole gem set is exclusive to China while yes I understand the thread says art every single card in this set has a exclusive to China element to it
It states in the press release on Pokemon China that there a many more versions of these cards to chase in the “flash card” set. And based on the last gem set having pokeball and masterball and confetti and mirro holo etc I’m assuming this is what they are meaning
Simplified Chinese (China) and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan/HK) have separate sites, they don’t correlate especially when Simplified isn’t even caught up on SV era year 2/3
Oh wait you’re talking about the Korean and Japanese deck cards? I was just assuming as my snorlax ex was from the same box in trad Chinese but having a Quick Look it seems they didn’t add them promos just the decks
