Show Off Your Error Cards Megathread!

Thanks for sharing, it took a while to notice even after you saying what it was. There was also another difference I found. Below the evolution box on the right card is something white, instead of the left were that is just normal card (I am sorry, I don’t know how to explain this better).

Yeah, i probably should have explained the differences. Sorry about that.

How do I add photos to this thread I just recently came across a clefairy from xy evolutions reverse holo that where the holo bleeds into the pokemon portrait. Haven’t seen one like this before as far as errors go

Also I think I have the misprint charizard with the darkened flames for xy evolutions and also have 2 golisopods one card has a grey hue to everything and the other has a brown hue to everything.

There’s a sticky post “How To Upload Images” that will helps a ton. I made the mistake of not reading it first.
I switched to using Tapatalk app on my phone though, makes it a lot easier since I take my photos with the phone and I can do it all in one place.

These are the 3 error cards I have forsure

And this isnt the charizard from evolutions that’s the green tinted fire huh?

That’s on pretty much all evolutions and reverses in generL

Well with the golisopod and raichu there’s no bleed on them, so didnt know if that was a common mistake

Also pulled this altaria from a champions path etb that has a holo bleed. Don’t know if that’s common or not. But also from my last posts about the magnemite I have 4 other magnemite reverse holo and none of them have a holo bleed like that one I posted, doesn’t seem too too common imo.

Also same with this galarian obstagoon. If you look where the leaf is in between that and resistance you’ll see the holo bleed. It was hard to get the light to hit it just right because it’s a dark card

Ok does champions path have alot of bleed throughs??

@dementedxtc In my experience, almost all Holofoil Rare cards from the Sword & Shield and most of the Sun & Moon era have holo bleed, regardless of the language. For some cards it’s even harder to find one without holo bleed than with. I recently opened five Japanese Shiny Star V booster boxes, and from the 50+ Holofoil Rares, about ten were were without holo bleed, all the others with. Holo bleeds are still errors, but not the most noteworthy or interesting ones tbh, unless they’re A LOT of it (like some Secret Wonders or XY Evolutions Holofoil Rares).

I gotchya I was confused I started looking through my rares and noticed alot did have bleeds, that’s weird, maybe it’s to make the psa 10s that much more rare? But someone else also told me that the golisopod with the different color in the box and tint to the pokemon was that it was just a different printer used on the card. Can anyone verify this?

Already posted something about this but I might have found an easter egg card in a Detective Pikachu pack…

Look at how perfectly the holo drip is placed on the back of Jigglypuff’s tounge:

If anyone has advice on how to determine approximate value on this, it would be greatly appreciated!

This isn’t anything, in my opinion, that’d carry a premium. It’s just a normal card and I can’t see anyone seeking something as specific as “a holo dot on the Jigglypuff’s tongue”.

Ok. However I think it begs the question as to why someone would take time to place a holo bleed directly in the middle of Jigglypuffs mouth. I don’t know much about the printing process but it seems like something that was done intentionally to one specific card.

the printing is done by machines, no one would do this intentionally.

Gotcha. Thanks for the information! I guess I’ll just leave the investigations to detective pikachu from here on out
