The yellow ink applied to the borders is solid, not like the CMYK plates applied to the majority of the card. In other words, there isn’t “beige” ink underlay that would show up if an obstruction occurred. Yellow ink fades first, so it’s not unreasonable to see changes from UV on the borders but not on the CMYK printed portions. The same damage occurs on Japanese copies as well.
