On that note, I’d like to reccomend the bigger version with a nice 4x4 display. (not sure what size yours is but it just reminded me)
it just means I can see even more maxie’s at once, definitely worth it.
Thanks for the tip! Having the double page full of the same card definitely has some magic.
I have a couple of other binders but this red one is a special one. It has an ever changing content where I always take some cards from my bigger collection and add them here to appreciate. For example right now, the content of this binder is all ground type pokemon from base - destiny and the original 151 pokedex.
That Liger Zero and Berserk Fury have me drooling! Zoids is such an underrated franchise, especially with how absolutely amazing Chaotic Century is…here’s my small Zoids tribute on my wall
Here’s my sloppy Pokemon/MTG corner. I’m usually organized to a ridiculous extent, but this corner of my game room has gotten away from me for some reason… That acryllic stand is actually a nail polish holder I bought off of Amazon. It works great as a budget display for games and cards, providing you don’t overload it like I have haha.
This is my display. My cards are less fancy than most peoples and I’ve got some DIY slabs until PSA decides to be reasonable (I’m in Australia so it’s even worse) but still been an expensive build up. I like to fiddle and change it up often so no glass doors for me. Just an annual bath for the figures
@andrea, For me I want to be able to see and fiddle with the things I collect, that’s part of the joy of owning these things for me. I’m very hands on. I’ve no intention of selling most of my pieces. I’ll have to give the figures a bath now and then. The cards are all in toploaders and the slabs are in team bags which can all be replaced if I feel it’s building up. And reality is your best weapon vs dust is a duster. No display is permanant but for me maintanence gives you a chance to pull pieces out and appreciate them again.
At the end of the day while I fully understand if you want to preserve value by leaving them in the dark in a fire proof safe, but for me if I’m going to be spending 5 figures on pokemon, I’m going to maximise the number of hours I can spend appreciating them.
I see your rats and I raise you one neighboring room with excessive moisture underneath the floor panels.
Actually, I haven’t had a single rodent in the basement of this houseever which is incredible, 800 square feet of space and there is a pantry down there.
