It sold for $500?? Damn that sucks dude. You almost had it for 10k :slightly_frowning_face:

I really appreciate everyone’s feedback. Without all of your help, I would have fallen into the seller’s trap and bought the overpriced card. I am not wealthy. It took me a few years to save so much. Some forum members have suggested that I do research before buying an expensive Pokemon card. Can someone tell me what online sources are reliable?

Victory Medals came in Gold and Silver from 2005 to 2007. Two of my club members said there was a bronze released in 2005. I have not been able to find any info about the 2005 Japanese Pikachu Victory Bronze Medal. Has anyone heard of it?

There was no bronze victory medal released in 2005-2007.

Thanks, poke-geri. My club members got things mixed up. I think a bronze victory medal was released after 2007.

This Pokemon Collectors’ Club was established two years ago. The majority of the members are new to the Pokemon collecting hobby. Even though I have been collecting TCG cards since 2010, I don’t know much about them. The problem is that the new club members and I cannot find any recent price guides of Pokemon TCG cards in print and online. The organizer knows more about TCG cards but is not an expert. Bad people can cheat us easily. Despite our lack of knowledge, we all enjoy the hobby.

Printed price guides are so far beyond obsolete they back with the black and white tvs man.

As for price guides i recommend using ebay sold listings, the psa price guide and also @pierce made a really really good price finding site.
