Never heard of them. I would just stick to usps. You can print labels off the usps website.
yeah just use USPS. you can also print labels through paypal
Get the pwcc vault instead if that’s the goal
Never heard of them. But there are quite a few “shipping discount” services I’ve used like pirateship, goshippo, and stamps.com that give discounted rates for USPS labels. Sometimes the discount is miniscule and sometimes it’s a decent amount.
I just made an account and I’m not even sure what the site actually does. Their video: What is Ship My Cards? - YouTube makes it seem a little sketchy too. They’re like an intermediary so you bypass taxes?
“wallstreetgamer” is looking to avoid taxes? Nice.
So shipmycards.com is essentially a middleman service? How does that avoid ebay taxes? Sorry I’m not firm on US tax regulations, but I’m interested.
Seems like a simple concept because you ship to a city/state that doesn’t charge sales tax, but you’re repaying for shipping again for the middleman to send it to you plus some fee because they need a cut as well. Seems like this would only be worthwhile for higher end purchases and if you’re making higher end purchases, the middleman has to be extremely trustworthy.
Idk though. A business that is advertising a way to avoid taxes is screaming to be caught in some kind of legal issue. I’m lucky to be in a city that doesn’t get charged tax by eBay thankfully.
Ahh thanks, that sounds plausible. For me as non-American it’s a strange concept that tax laws differ from one city to another, so I didn’t think of that.
Still curious if anyone has heard of this service. Trying to get a hold of PWCC in the meantime but no phone number *facepalm*
I’ve never heard of it, but if the goal is to avoid paying sales tax, especially on high end slabs, than I would definitely recommend using pwcc. They are more established and I personally have had 0 issues with them so far.
@gengarguy , thx! If anyone has any experience with the shipmycards that would be helpful. PWCC is pretty expensive haha.
@chonker, this is literally PWCC vault but worse.
1%?
@pokehut1,yeah it is. I ended up sending to PWCC. Will try this other service out for a lower priced item (this one was $9K)
Actually cities within the same state pay equally or not at all.
Hey guys, I collector of mine showed me this thread and I thought I would register and answer any questions you may have.
Essentially, we are the USA address for many international collectors. Most of our collectors collect basketball cards as that is the hobby I collect and have been very involved for the last several years. In the last few years we have expanded a bit, we now have just over 5000 collectors that collect anything from Pokemon cards, to Ninja Turtles, to all sports cards/items.
When State Sales tax started to be collected in my home state (Oct 2019) we made a 2nd address in Oregon to assist in saving on sales tax. Now we have many USA collectors that use our service as well.
Best place to check us out is our facebook group where you can see plenty of feedback. Let me know if there is anything I can answer for you!
