Can anyone comment on the quality difference between Shaymin EX from XY era
Haven’t seen these in person. Would prefer English, but if JPN texture/detail is much better I would buy the JPN version. (ex: prefer the JPN Pokekyun collection over the English radiant collection counterparts)
For all XY full arts the Japanese version will have much more fine and detailed texture, but the texturing itself isn’t as raised. The english one will have less detail but the texture itself is much more raised. I would say for the 77a shaymin the english one isn’t bad compared to the Jp version.

A simple thought experiment : if prices were inverted, as in the japanese version would be the more expensive one, which one do you think would be the most desirable to you ?
If your answer is the ENG version because it’s cheaper, then get the JPN card (since it’s actually cheaper)
If your answer is the JPN version, because value and desirability are tied, then get the JPN version, since you actually proved to yourself that the only reason you are considering the card in English is because the market decides its more expensive without any underlying fundamental.
Whatever way, the answer is, the japanese card
