Shadowless or Shadowmore???

If I say yes, will that convince you to sell it to me for $2K?

Yes, only one.

Has anybody noted what the card is and compared it definitively with regular and shadowless packs?

Does anyone remember the box opening on YouTube that had packs with shadowless cards but 3 of them were 1st edition?
I can’t find the video… would have been around 2009

Looks like it contains shadowless pack arts!

As in shadowless and 1st Ed. cards in the same pack? :face_with_spiral_eyes:

yep, the transition from 1st edition to shadowless was caught on camera, wish i saved the vid

Was it a 1st ed box?

Nope shadowless, there would’ve been surplus uncommon 1st editions so the very first shadowless boxes would have gotten them

OK digging shall commence

What character is on the pack pictured?

Open it up Gary!

@garyis2000

You talking about the picture in op? Has to be Venusaur because other pack artworks don’t have any green near Pokemon logo.

Venusaur

Looks Shadowless to me.

Who says 100% shadowless artwork? Not 90%, 100%.

With the possibility of variable pack arts, I’m going to make a case for shadowless.

Now if we look at these pics I got from ebay:

(‘Additional’ = Unlimited)

(‘Tradable’ = Shadowless)

The other difference between the 2 we can see is the ‘Trading Card Game’ box underneath the Pokemon logo. On the shadowless pack it is at the bottom of the pack, and if we look at Gary’s photo (beneath) I’m fairly certain that we see the art of Venusaur directly under the ‘M’ of the Pokemon logo which I’m fairly certain in saying shows that there is no ‘trading card game’ logo at the top of the pack and is another indicator that the packs are shadowless.

All of that said, maybe there are pack variants without the ‘trading card game’ under the Pokemon logo that contain unlimited cards and say ‘additional’ instead of ‘tradable’. If I was a betting man though I’d say they’re likely shadowless.

I actually have 35 packs from a green winged box that had a WOTC stamped wrap that I know to contain Unlimited cards, I will see where the ‘trading card game’ logo is on them.

Edit: Even on those packs, the ‘trading card game’ logo is at the top. The omens are good!
