Shadowless is a slightly better looking card but they both look great, save and aim for a higher grade if you go for shadowless. A 8 is definitely not unachievable if your patient. It does depend obviously how picky you are. I have a couple of lower grade cards which are fine for now but honestly I would like to upgrade them at somepoint.
I think choosing between a shadowless and unlimited base charizard is kind of like choosing between Megan Markle and Scarlet Johansson. Everyone will have a slight preference but whichever one you go with they are both beautiful, you wouldnât be disappointed
I disagree on the base unlimited part. Good for you if youâve gotten lucky in the past, but Iâve yet to see a mint copy being sold much less than $100. Played copies seem to earn close $50 so I donât know where you get easy 9s for $30-40. lol
$150-160 is very reasonable for a 9. They were $250-300 not too long ago and itâs only a matter of time until they go back up IMO.
I hope thatâs not the $59.99 Zard you expect to get a 9 easy?
haha nooo! thats a solid 10 for sure i duno what turkey is buying them in that condition for that price but its funny the one i got has no holo scratch at all, the back is all good but a small white dot in the corner and the rest is all good so i cant see it getting anything under a 9. i mainly buy from .co.uk so pound not dollars. also picked up 1 i think will hit a 7-8 for a little over 35 and a legendary collection that looks to a 8-9 for just over 40 all recently.
i check the new listings a lot more then i would like to admit so i wouldnt say i got lucky 1-2 times given how many i have/sold. i put a decent amount of effort in looking and trying to negotiate i get most from auction as like most pokemon cards they tend to end lower then the buyitnows. even if you didnt want to put the effort in and bought one at 100$ thats still less then buying a 9 so for people who are on a budget my advice is always buy and grade your own. just have to be patient and not let emotion take ur bidding to the moon thats how i got my collection and how i make money from my store buying grading then selling them.
Fair enough. Itâs obviously possible to score some deals on ungraded cards if you know what youâre doing, but I just felt felt the need to point out that itâs misleading to tell OP that he can find PSA 9 worthy Zard for $59.99 or even less.
Iâve done fairly well myself in most of my purchases, but we have new members that will see your post, run to ebay and make very very bad decisions⌠you know what I mean?
yeah i get what your saying my dude i should have also pointed out that it takes a little bit of time to get the hang of what to look for in raw cards and what will effect the score. i know at the start it took me a while and by no means am i perfect at it now just dont want people on a tight budget to feel they can only buy graded or they cant afford to get into the hobby or cant afford cards theyâve always wanted when sometime (not all the time) its more cost efficient to buy and grade your own. thought it was important to add that for any new members like you said^ i dont want to mislead people into just buying any card and expecting a 9 i do like the fact you are thinking of new members here i respect that alot and il try keeping that in mind with my posting
If the grade doesnât affect you then a shadowless > unlimited because of the âcharmâ of it being somewhat like a pseudo 1st edition card. I also think it is easier to get a better condition for raw, ungraded unlimited.
Do you like binder cards or prefer them to be graded?
I personally would have preference for a clean (strong) PSA 9 to the average PSA 5 of same value. If itâs a 5 youâre looking for maybe look into an ungraded copy. Lower grades such as PSA 4 & 5 may not need their encasement to be fully enjoyed.
