How do you tell the difference from looking at the factory sealed box?

Well at the end of the day, there is no 100% way to tell if it will be shadowless. However you can be like 70% positive. @jkanly made an excellent article explaining the differences between the different boxes and which ones are the most likely to be shadowless and which ones are mostly likely to be unlimited.

You can be 99% sure of shadowless cards in booster boxes that came from a sealed case where the other boxes in the case were opened and contained shadowless cards. I personally have never seen a legitimate green winged Charizard box with one country code on the bottom and clear wrap without WOTC logos on the wrap, not contain shadowless cards. If you have one of these boxes, you can press down the perforated tab on the top of the box to determine if the packs contain shadowless artwork and also if the packs have long seals as opposed to short seals…
