Shrouded Fable is the third set of the Scarlet & Violet era, released in English on August 2nd, 2024. This set introduced the mythical Pokémon Pecharunt (which coincidentally was voted as least favorite mythical by E4 just 3-4 days ago), and they’ve also changed up the Reverse Holo pattern from this set onward. It also contains another three new ACE Spec Trainer cards.

I honestly forgot this set existed when the wheel of names landed on it just yet. The set name didn’t sound familiar, and when I was browsing through the set itself, it also has barely anything noteworthy except for the Houndoom and Persian FA cards.

Here are still some of my favorite cards from the set, though.

Best.

I’m always a sucker for Rowlet, but the Joltik card is cute as well!

From a player perspective this set gave us some really big cards that are still seeing play.

The Duskull line is best friends with the top deck in the format Dragapult. I really love the art they did for these guys.

Fezandipiti is seen in almost every deck in play these days. Pecharunt is run in a handful of dark decks and is great for pivoting around your cards. Night stretcher is also a staple in many decks currently. I am a fairly new player but these cards are big in the current format

This set has some of the nicest ARs in the SV Era. Surprised it isn’t talked about more!

My favourites are the Houndoom, Persian, Horsea and the Duskull line.
