I tend not to accept offers from them as in my experience are high risk of not paying. But if they buy it now i send it out.
Coming from someone who is a 0 buyer, I’ve recently joined eBay and jumped to collecting the most expensive slabs in my top 10 list (before they spike any further).
I haven’t had the same direct hesitance from sellers although I do find not many people reply to my messages and/or offers.
Not sure what I could do my side to reduce the risk and increase trust. Kind of a hard one.
If it’s a more expensive card, I’d not risk it tbh. You’ve got a lot more to lose
You can’t do that. You can only block buyers/bidders with a certain number of unpaid strikes in X days from purchasing of you.
Exactly. Which is also easily fixed by just ticking on that immediate payment is required. Fixes 98-99% of any unpaid issue with 0 feedback buyers.
Another thing to consider is because of the uptick and new popularity at the moment could be drawing more and more people into creating EBAY accounts who havn’t had one before just to buy pokemon. I know, I know it sounds crazy to not have an EBAY account in 2020 but there are people who don’t. These new accounts have money to spend that is worth the same as anyone elses. Just take the necssary precautions when you sell anything higher end to them (ship with insurance and signature required + have video evidence sealing the product in the box and sign the box over the tape lines and label). Just a thought…
Living in New Zealand I can echo this. Literally joined eBay 2 weeks ago and trying to scoop up a ~ $1,000 card lol.
