Sold £350 worth of kingdom hearts tcg cards to this eBay user around 5-6 months ago and now they’ve opened 2 PayPal cases against me today for “item not as described” even though they left me positive feedback on eBay. They also bought a £6 card from me 6 days ago so pretty stupid of them to do that and then open a case for items they paid for 6 months ago.
Well hopefully PayPal will get this right as he purchased something from me 6 days ago so it doesn’t add up. If not I’ll take him to small claims court
That may be a realistic option. Although there is a difference between filing a claim with PayPal directly and filing one with his credit card which leads to a PayPal investigation. If its up to PayPal you may have a chance if he did it with his credit card you’re likely toast. I know with my specific level of AMEX I can file a dispute up to 10 years after the charge is made.
Well the kind woman that I spoke to from PayPal said she believes me and has put a note on the system for the next person who looks at the case to be “careful” of the buyer.
As I said if all else fails I’ll take him to small claims court
Ebay and paypal are just not good enough. They are the best option out there, and yet they don’t care about sellers, and it is really a shame. It is very much like the wild west. When you protect yourself well, you do fairly well and/or people leave you alone. But if you don’t, you’ll get dueled and put your life at risk, figuratively speaking.
I’m not sure if you’re joking or not, but since you are in a position where people in the community look up to you, please don’t give this kind of frauduleus and illegal advice… If you scam a scammer, steal from a thief, or kill a killer, you would be no different than them. No need to lower yourself to their level…
The same first and last name and he lives in Aberdeen, Scotland. Pretty sure this is about the same guy but just to show you the type of scum I’m having to deal with
