Russian Vivillon Questions

Hello!

I love collecting non-English cards and one of my goals is the complete set of the Vivillon exclusive XY cards. I found a place that sells Russian booster boxes so I’m going to try my hand at pulling one. Before I spend almost $250 on the booster box, I did have some questions.

1. Is the image below the correct booster pack if I want to try and pull the Russian Vivillon? It seems to be the right one based on the pictures from Bulbapedia, but just want to confirm first.
   

2. I rarely deal with modern boosters. Do they work the same way as vintage where they weigh more if they have a holo?

3. And finally, any ideas on the pull rate for the Vivillon exclusive? If it’s something like 1 in every 3 or more boxes I’ll probably just try to buy the card instead of pulling it.

Each of the two prints for each language is treated as a separate Holo Rare in the pack distribution: it is equally as likely to pull a Meadow Pattern or the language-exclusive pattern. However, because of this, it is twice as likely to pull a Vivillon card from booster packs as it is to pull a different Holo Rare Pokémon from the expansion.

You could try to contact the seller of that Russian XY box (and yes, it’s the correct box based on that picture indeed) to ask if they have a Russian Vivillon and are willing to sell it loose. That’s how I got my Russian Vivillon a few years back.
Alternatively you could try to search for some Russian pack openings on YouTube. If those YouTubers haven’t stopped collecting yet (which is likely tbh, considering this Russian set was released in 2014), they might be able to help you acquire it. It’s not too difficult to find on the Russian market itself I’ve heard, although it’s definitely very popular and rather pricey (75-100 USD last time I came across one) outside of Russia.

Thanks for the reply, Quuador! One of the first things I did was ask him if he had it loose haha. He said he had three, but they sold long ago. That Russian pack opening on Youtube idea is brilliant. That’s my next step
