Rockruff different holo print?

Hello Everybody,

I have two of the same rockruff cards, everything is the same
Except for the holo effect on it.

One has a digital/computerchip effect and the other has the traditional
“Wave” effect.

I can’t seem to find anything about this on the Internet and was hoping you guys could tell me if this is a misprint of whatever or really something different from each other.

I have not heard any issues with alternate foils, as if there is 2 different foils, its usually not an error, but something due to two different releases.

Can you upload pictures? There should only be a few rockruffs that have been released:

Holo: Single pack blisters
Non Holo’s: Trainer deck Lycanroc vs Raichu

Guardians Rising: 73’ non holo + RH

I believe the only holo version was a galaxy foil version which should not have had alternates.

Im quite newb with all the names of sets etc, but these rockruffs are from sun and moon.

Oh wow, I had no idea this was an issue, you are talking reverse holo’s.

From what I am reading people from their prerelease events were noticing their reverse holo’s had the holo part at the very top and a smooth holo at the bottom. It may have happened in normal boxes but all the stories I am reading are prereleases. Looks like bunch of people have these up on ebay, if there is a correlation to every card in the set having this error, I feel sorry for who ever is going to collect the master set.

Oh that’s pretty cool. Looks like the one in the second picture didn’t get the full fighting symbol treatment. Some kind of error I would guess.

Wow the video is exactly what’s the issue. Gonna keep track of this for a while.

But for my own clarification; the first picture is as it should be and the second one would be a faulty one right?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Yes, the first one is what it should look like (corresponding energy type pattern over the whole card) and the second version is the error, smooth/no pattern.
