I’ve spent very little time on here lately and the reason is because there’s too much negativity permeating on this once amazing site. We still have many great people here who love the hobby and don’t cast shade on others. But, sadly, too many Debbie Downers are here now who care less about the health of the hobby and more about attacking and bullying. I wish there was a way to erase them here like you can block on YouTube. It’s one of the reasons I’m enjoying the multi-level marketing community so much. The only hating comes from those outside the community so it means nothing. Unlike with Pokémon, there’s nothing but love and respect within the community, very much like how Pokémon was the first 15 years.

I think the art could be hit or miss, but what really made the cards so garish was the composition of the card itself. Even if the creature was flatteringly drawn, the composition of the cards themselves were so offputting.
I actually like some of their artistic interpretations, like their Mothman. But the card itself is so unpleasant to look at.

I love the cards and the idea of the game, but steered clear of it once I got banned from the discord for asking simple questions about the game lol

There was no IP the Metazoo card game was based off on. No anime, manga, Game Boy game, etc.
Pokémon TCG excels because the IP is based of other successful things, like the Game Boy games.
All the investor #Moonbreon boys should have seen this coming even since it came out during the hype of Covid

Such a shame, it was obvious that this wouldn’t last. Especially after they got into nfts & made an investment youtuber into an official card.
Watching this trainwreck from the fence was interesting. I feel like they really had something but never even attempted capture any kind of organic market. Also such a scummy move coming out with this after promising to get their sh*t together.

If you ask another e4 member, a card shoots up in value once out of rotation. So now that Metazoo is making no new cards, the game will naturally die off. So that does mean they are out of rotation?
