Hey everyone, on July 10th I sent a high value PSA submission via registered mail. It’s been stuck at “arrived at USPS facility” in Boston for a week now, should I be concerned or is this a normal occurence for registered mail? I’ve only sent registered once before and nothing like this happened, so I’m a bit worried.
Registered Mail has perhaps the longest shipping time of all mail, but it’s one of the safest ways to ship. I wouldn’t worry until about 12 weeks from July 12th. You’ll have another month before PSA logs the submission.
I still have packages I’ve purchased from early June not arrive. USPS is short staffed & experiencing delays all around.
There’s nothing you can do except be patient.
Thanks for the peace of mind! I know it’s one of the slowest and safest ways to ship, it’s just a little concerning to have my cards spend a week in the same place with no updates. I hope you’re right and it’s just because USPS is backed up right now, nothing I can do for now but wait it out.
I have had international registered shipping from the Netherlands take up to one and a half months in these facilities, all came out fine. If you are worried you can call usps or the carrier you originally shipped with, they can check up on it which I did for one of my items.
Don’t worry, give it time
I’ve had a few packages from the US to The Netherlands (so the other way around) which were also stuck in the “arrived at USPS facility CHICAGO” status for a few weeks. They have all arrived by now though (with on average a shipping time of 2-2.5 months). The other way around, from me to the US, is luckily a bit faster (~4-5 weeks on average).
As others have mentioned, unfortunately all we can do right now is be patient. It sucks, but it is what it is.
Oh, and good luck with your PSA submission! In that case patient is definitely virtue, since I have yet to even hear my grades after Ludkins Collectables UK has send my cards mid-February towards PSA, haha. I hope I’ll hear my grades any day now. Although after that it’ll probably take another two months before I have the cards back in my hand.
Greetz,
Quuador
Huge thanks to everyone here for the positivity and kind words! I’m ecstatic to report that, after a nerve-racking 8 days of no tracking updates, my submission has turned up in Los Angeles as of this morning. Now for a much longer wait, hopefully I’ll get the cards back by the end of the year!
