That could be the case. I still find it odd that the Error ist only in proximity of non holo parts and never on the big holo area.

I mean, the use of “cleaning” is obviously kinda liberal here. Wiping smudges or dirt off a card isnt a problem. But using chemicals to deface the surface and buff out scratches is altering the card. Same with inking. This is an apples to oranges comparison.
If i had an authentic pair of game worn jordan 1s, i wouldnt want somebody painting over the leather, or ironing out creases.
If i had a rare comic or first edition book, i wouldnt want somebody going through it with a marker touching up ink.
You are altering the natural state of the collectible, which is a large component of the sentimentality that drives collecting. It is degrading the authenticity of the item, most of the time, to deceive others for financial gain. Its gross and it spits in the face of the trust and passion that collectors have for this hobby
