Recommendations for collection

I’m looking for something different to just cards if anyone has any suggestions. I don’t collect sealed (other than things like the sealed Tohoku, Hiroshima and Fukuoka Pokémon center boxes which i already have). Things like the triple packs of Southern Island or the vending sheets from Japan. Things that preferably don’t cost thousands of dollars to buy, just something different.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Welcome to the forum!

Do you have the seasons/movies on dvd or Blu-ray? Physical media is really inexpensive, and you’d be able to watch it whenever you wanted

True, that is something I’ve looked at before but just forgot about. I used to have some of the original seasons in this dvd wallet thing. Think i lost a couple unfortunately but something i will look into again. Thanks

You could collect the vintage TOMY figures. I love those. Even what you mentioned is getting a bit expensive. Outside of Pokémon I do a bit of random memorabilia for video games and Nintendo.

Those are pretty cool, I’ll add those to the list. Mind you I do already have the things that I mentioned. Bought everything but the pokemon boxes in Japan earlier this year before they took off in price.

I don’t necessarily mind dropping a bit of money on something if I think it’s really cool, I just in general would prefer to spend the same amount on multiple products rather than 1.

Pokemon postcards, coins, and sleeves are all great choices.

Didn’t know there were official postcards, looks interesting. Add those to my list, thanks

Binders, playmats, deck boxes, etc. have some really cool and unique arts over the years. Most of them are very affordable. Posters and A4 adverts are pretty sweet as well.

Without a doubt you need to investigate Pokelids/Pokefuta. Some of the manhole covers in Japan have Pokemon art on, a large number of these have miniature replicas reproduced. The art is amazing, they’re high quality official reproductions with decent weight. They’re not cheap but also a bit insulated from the TCG crazy prices at the moment, and they make fantastic display pieces.

Don’t get the postcard art reproductions (also beautiful) confused with the miniature metal replicas though. These come in a lovely wooden display box as well. I have the Kanto starters, which I can share photos of if anyone is interested.

Plushies is a fun one of mine. I love collecting my favorites, and the quality is good, and feels so soft.

I did start collecting the sleeping pokemon plushies, I loved those. Ran out of room really quick though unfortunately

That is cool, didn’t know they made collectables for those. Definitely something I’m gonna look into, thank you

Personally, Coins are my go to if not cards. They also take up little space, and there is a plethora of options with some higher priced chase coins like Summer Road and Battle Road. JP exclusives, international reprint copies, etc.

Pokelids/Poke WHAT?
