Haha yep super serious, the cheapest you could get a tiny apartment for is probably double that!
(The pokemon cards are also more expensive in the UK, another thing that sucks!)

I’ve been considering buying a cheap studio in the city, and if you don’t mind a microfridge you can get 250-300sq ft in Tudor City for a bit under $300k. FML.

We used to live in a rural area where we paid $340/month for rent, which included utilities, cable, and Internet. It’s almost ten times that where we live now, and you can’t buy a house that isn’t a shithole for any lower than $500K. But it’s still not that bad compared to NYC or SF.
