Hi!
I promised to join the E4 forum after getting 50 000 posts on the E4 Discord server.
And here am I.
I am not here to talk about bubbles, investments and what the most valuable cards are, but I am here to appreciate Pokemon cards .
.
I am 18 years old, from Germany and I dont collect specific sets, I just buy cards I like: setcards, promos, anything .
.
My favourite Pokemon is Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee but my favourite generation is gen2.
I grew up with HGSS (still my favourite game) and gen4, my latest purchase & favourite card right now is a Mysterious Pearl.
.
I hope I didnt annoyed anyone with this post, I need to figure out how to use the forum properly.
.
Oh, and I made an Pokemon related Account on Instagram for my adorable Cat (Pokecatkarli). A picture of him protecting my pearl aw he is so nice, I love him
One, Zoomers are good for the future sustainability of the hobby, so WELCOME! Two, your cat is amazing . . . more cat pics please (dog pics also acceptable).
Both the Pearl and your cat are georgeous! One of my goals for 2020 is to buy a Mysterious Pearl myself as well. Would love to buy a cat as well but they are super-effective against me due to allergies…
Generations aren’t an exact science and not every generation is the same length of time.
I think the main reasons that the Millennial cutoff is considered to be around 1995/1996 is that Millennials grew up in a world before the Internet really became such a prominent part of daily life and experienced the rise of the Internet whereas Gen Z grew up during a time when the Internet had already entrenched itself in our lives. Another factor cited is that Millenials were especially hard hit by the 2008 recession as this is the economy many were thrown into as they first entered the job market. The 9/11 attacks are also cited as a formative event impacting many Millenials but Gen Zers were either not alive or too young to consider this a formative/memorable event. Perhaps coronavirus will end up being a defining event for the formative years of Gen Zers.
