The Question of the Day is a way to facilitate community discussion to help members ponder the unanswered questions of the world that are somehow relating to the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
No, I don’t think I would want to be part of Team Rocket or any of the extremist organizations across the gens. If I lived in the world of Pokemon, I think I’d want to be a Pokemon Professor.
No. It’s possible to do Team Rocket-adjacent activities in the real world; most people aren’t involved with those activities so I don’t see why Pokemon being involved would change things.
While I condemn torture and/or killing of Pokemon, I think poaching, gambling, bullying weaker trainers, stealing and tax evasion could be a lot of fun in a fictional context.
Definitely interesting gameplay-wise, considering how cool it would be to climb the Team Rocket hierarchy, while unveiling the dark hiding below the “too optimistic” Pokemon society. Police in the Poke world seems pretty incompetent, and that’s a plus.
But in a more fictional context, perhaps temporarily as spy, trying to make ‘colleague’ Team Rocket members get arrested and letting captured Pokémon escape while being undercover sounds like a fun activity.
It would be fun to go undercover into Team Rocket to liberate Pokémon and cause chaos for the organization on the inside. I’d be that grunt who helps trainers navigate the hideouts and warehouses by sharing the keys and passwords willingly.
