The Question of the Day is a way to facilitate community discussion to help members ponder the unanswered questions of the world that are somehow relating to the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
Probably a gym leader. It would be fun to battle young trainers and give them advice and such.
Maybe as new concept a nomad gym leader without a specific gym location, so I can travel around while battling trainers and giving them badges when they win.
Alternatively, a professor assistant perhaps. Seems like a great place to learn a lot about different Pokémon, without being in the actual professor role myself.
And as mentioned in one of the other questions: a spy that infiltrates Team Rocket and other evil organizations also seems like fun. Although mostly because dying in the Pokémon world is a lot harder, with all the people surviving flame throwers, electric shocks, etc. from Pokémon.
Finally a question I have already given a thought about before it was asked.
Very easily, I would love to be a chef or cook. However, I don’t want to have a restaurant but rather a travelling kiosk which I can move around and go from town to town. That way my menu will also change with whatever is available locally and also help me learn cuisines from different regions. Then I can use these learnings to take cuisines across regions.
I will also use Pokemon to help me with this endeavor, which can range from supplies and also effort. Also, both Pokemon and people are welcome since I would ideally want to provide nutrition to both.
A thing that I particularly love about the Pokemon world, is how much freedom you seem to have.
The region feels so scarcely inhabited, with very few people out there easily fulfilling their needs & dreams. It’s so cool that every niche job is perfectly sustainable, without any competition.
There is a guy with an eerily amount of similarities to me in the Pokemon world. Regis, Dusclops, very interested in mystery and history, competitively skilled, not known for his mildness, booming voice, good eyebrows, loves green, heart is torn between Kanto and Hoenn. I could go on, it’s spooky.
I’m assuming I would just be Brandon, so I guess historian/frontier brain.
I’d carry on what I do for my job in this universe. I’m a professional artist who also teaches traditional japanese ink painting workshops. So I’d keep doing that in the Pokemon world too
If a 10 year old can become the most powerful person in a region in less then a week I would dominate the Pokemon world, and catch god in a ball, then become god
It would be the same as my real dream job, to be a travel photographer. I’d get to travel throughout all the regions and towns, photographing nature, people, and Pokémon. Experience different cultures, see beautiful sights, and never be in the same place for very long.
Maybe it’s a cliche answer but I would love to be a Pokemon Trainer if that counts as a job. The idea of travelling the world, encountering new Pokemon and collecting as many as I can is what drew me into the franchise in the first place. I wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer when I first saw the show at age 8 and that feeling never went away.
I was gonna say I’d be Fisherman JupiterSailfish but thinking about catching some of these Pokemans in the ocean is kinda terrifying. I ain’t trying to end up on a Gyarados or Lugia card art.
