Today’s Question: QotD: What is the toughest pokemon you could realistically win against in an arm wrestling match (for those without arms, in a log rolling match?

I don’t think you realize how strong a magikarp is.
Magikarps are huge. They’re 90cm. If you ever catched a 30cm fish you know how much muscle power they produce. Their is no way a human produce more force than a 10kg fish.
True. I’ve already said it in the past, but I stand by my words: any interaction with 90% of pokemon would most likely result in broken arms or severed limbs
Since my dad is a fisher by hobby (and currently almost full time since he got his retirement a few years back ), he has caught loads of carps in his life, some 1m+ in length (although he mostly cares about weight). He broke his record mid-2024 by a large margin with a carp weighing a whopping 38.5kg and 112cm in length.
So although I totally agree with you in general: most larger fishes have a lot of muscles, and are stronger than most humans. But the reason I mentioned the above however was that it really depends on whether the Magikarp is in full health when you do the ‘arm wrestling match’, or whether it is after you’ve caught it. Since in the second case, both the large fish and the human who caught it most likely have fought with the fishing rod for at least 20 minutes, and with the very large and healthy fish possibly even way longer, but after that the fish is tired enough to be picked up for the weighing; measuring; and photos.
Then again, the fight using the fishing rod might be considered the ‘arm wrestling match’ itself, I guess. In which case I’d say it’s still far from easy, but with the right equipment and stamina, you should be able to win from a Magikarp (assuming it’s as strong as a regular 90cm carp - to which I have my doubts tbch. I always felt Magikarp - or any Pokémon for that matter - looked a lot stronger than their animal counterparts, even without using any Pokémon moves).
