If anyone noticed this with other cards I would be interested to see. Otherwise, this could just be a one off, but I feel a price difference of $50 dollars is quite interesting.
I’m not sure how to link but I also noticed a PSA 10 Neo Japanese Pichu went for $82 recently from them and at same time one was available for $44 or something BIN.
So many like this! The Southern Island Raticate sold for around $145 and just sold another for around $80 I think. There is a PSA 8 1st Ed Dragonite going up in auction while another is available $25 cheaper.
Not sure if this is the only reason but PWCC shipping internationally it’s sometimes the only option for non US citizens to buy cards if they still do that.
Also it’s an established seller for a lot of people myself included so therefore I think that’s why you sometimes see higher prices for these items.
Combination of things. PWCC auctions are much easier to locate and more advertised. Plus, if you just follow the auctions ending in real time, you come across things you didn’t know you wanted with no time to look elsewhere, and it can spark auction fever.
PWCC also won’t cancel your order and give you the run around for a week after you make your purchase. You know what you’re getting, and that’s why they can get that premium. I’ve had three BIN orders cancelled this week alone from sellers with near 100% feedback.
Maybe International buyers are starting to use the vault? As far as I know you can store your purchases there to ship them later combined, which means less hassle/fees for international buyers.
I can´t either. The only way for me to see them is to go manually via the google search/their website and then klick on their name and “visit shop”. I can not see a normal list, doesn´t matter if I visit through .com, set my shipping address to US or whatever.
They don’t show up on ebay UK anymore.
Its been this way since they stopped declaring low value on the customs declaration. The only way to view them is on the US site.
For over a year PWCC haven’t paid extra to have their listings shown internationally. The only way for us Europeans to see PWCC listings is to search on the US eBay website or go via their website (which takes you to the US eBay website).
Shipping prices from PWCC to Europe are very high because they insist on using FedEx. They also declare the cards as playing cards instead of collectible trading cards, meaning they warrant an additional 10% US safeguarding fee. I don’t think Europeans have anything to do with the high sale prices seen on PWCC auctions.
I don’t even bother looking at PWCC listings anymore. Rather than seeing something I want then getting let down as I know I’ll get shafted on importing fees.
A UK buyer recently bought from them and was even hit hard with ‘Anti-Dumping Duty’ tax.
Another European here, and I have the same problem. I can’t see any items in their ebay store, nor on their normal ebay site. Doesn’t matter if I use ebay.de or ebay.com. The only way for me to see their auctions is by accidentally stumbling upon one when I search for certain Pokemon cards.
I have no clue why they make it so hard for us to participate. Because judging from their options, they do ship to Europe.
You can do a quick search for the user or go into PWCC’s site and the listings have the link attached.
On topic, i saw plenty of PSA9 cards go for over BiN price listed at the same time on last PWCC auction (Mostly talking about Ex’s).
Charizard Legendary Collection went for $4050 and the same card i had posted for 6 offers within the first 10 minutes of PWCC one end.
There’s tons and tons of people watching PWCC and they ready to burn that money; most of the times, if they don’t happen to win they would end up going for either the same card posted at a higher price or something they’ve been following for days.
