Have there been PSA specials for cards worth more than 500$?
Because going from 15$ for a card to 75$ a card is quite a steep price increase.
That’s why I am trying to see how likely it is that there will be a special deal for this price range this year.
I remember them doing Specials for Express ($100) and Super Express ($200) but that’s kind of a one-time thing.
However in the pricing list there’s a side note saying:
For both the Value Bulk ($19/card, up to $499 DV) and Value ($25/card, up to $499 DV) service levels, if PSA determines a card’s graded Declared Value was inaccurately estimated, and actually falls between $500 and $999 instead of $499 or less, the customer will be charged $40 for that particular card versus the higher rate of $75.
So (assuming they don’t assign more fat fingers to lower tiers and thus risking your card) I guess your best bet is to submit either Value Bulk or Value and have them upcharge you. Don’t know what they would do if you submit $999 through Value Plus though.
