PSA Quantities; Pokemon Vs Sports cards?

Hi guys,

I believe we touched in this quite a while ago; about the quantities and numbers of pokemon cards being graded at PSA. I just wanted to clarify and understand properly:

At PSA;

  1. What franchise has the highest quantity of cards graded?
  2. Does pokemon now surpass baseball / sport card quantities?
  3. If not, do you think pokemon will surpass down the line?
  4. How do you think pokemon’s popularity is shaping the graded card market / PSA’s business?

I’m not 100% sure on number 1 off the top of my head but as for the other 3 …

Just to re-iterate something I said a while back - There are more PSA 8 graded Michael Jordan rookie cards than the entire Pokemon base set in PSA 8.

Just re-checked and looks like Pokémon passed this specific figure since last time, but all the same every card in the 1986 fleer set alone has over 1k graded copies.

I would be curious to know how many of the 28~ million cards graded are Pokemon, x00,000s surely

Oh really? okay, sorry, i just can’t remember what i read here ages ago, but i thought i read Gary wrote something about pokemon surpassing baseball cards in something… haha… . maybe he was talking about something else…
