Will there be a more efficient, effective grading source than Psa in years to come ?
Will PSA still be PSA in the long haul of things ?

PSA isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. They’ve already well-established themselves within the Sports Card World; and are doing everything correct to establish themselves within the Non-Sports Card World. They’ll continue to prospure for many, many years to come!

Nobody can tell the future only speculate. As for grading cards BGS is much bigger but not as good as PSA when it comes to Pokemon, there are a few exceptions.
For Sports I prefer BGS always, pokemon everything goes to PSA unless it’s a truly flawless card then I will gamble with BGS for a Pristine but only for certain cards like Charizard/Mew,etc…

Can confirm at least in the hockey market - BGS for modern cards is by far the bigger option
Again, not sure where you’re getting that info. I don’t believe there’s any sport or non sport category that Beckett’s grades more of. PSA is at least triple all BGS sports and non sports I thought.
I’m in the hockey market pretty big time - beckett by far takes it 100%
For example,
The biggest modern rookie card is the Connor McDavid Young Guns or the Sidney Crosby Young guns
McDavid: Graded 8,000 times by Beckett, and only 2,000 by PSA.
Crosby: Graded 3,000 times by beckett, 800 times by PSA
I’m sure I’ve heard a comparison similar to this before but it’s the best way I can word it.
PSA is like Coca-Cola. Yeah Dr. Pepper is good, but it’s not Coke.
BGS is by far bigger than PSA when it comes to MTG, grading with PSA for MTG is almost non existent.
