Well this is interesting…

I think you can request it… but damn it ruins the appeal of the card.

I’ve never seen this service offered or advertised before. How would they grade the WB sealed promos? Would they just judge the plastic wrap?

Weird way to spell “horribly stupid and god awful looking to boot”.

I’d rather have the card out of the wrapper. That wrapper adds no value for me. Way too easy to fake and ruins the eye appeal.

Not to mention it obscuring the actual card itself so how in the hell do they determine the grade? As in the case of a booster pack, are they just grading the cello here? I mean wtf. Packs look pretty rough in cases but it is what it is for now, but then PSA decides to grade cello wrapped cards? Come on now. Sure with graded packs the flaps look like shit but you can at least appreciate the booster pack artwork front and center. With this you can’t really appreciate anything except for how ridiculous PSA can be at times.

They submitted this through the pack service. Pretty gimmicky imo.

This is great if I can request
Grade sealed card- if “x” grade or higher take out of seal and encapsulate as normal card, if lower leave sealed and don’t encapsulate.

unless they’re just grading the quality of the cellophane packet…

Oh God… Really not sure how to feel about this revelation, I mean, its obviously hideous, I guess its cool that they offer this if you desperately want to keep it sealed, but why not just keep it sealed and store it conventionally?

Either way I think I need a shot of whisky now.

Those cello packs can wreak havoc on the cards inside. Under the seam is where most damage occurs but can’t see it unless removed.

I’d never buy one like this,

Yeah I agree. Seems like a quantity over quality practice. With more services comes more product grading, which results in more revenue.

Smart move from a business perspective, but I agree with everyone on this having zero aesthetic appeal.

And yes, they’re grading the wrap, not the card. The card could be a 6.
I hope buyers aren’t confused.

PSA just contacted him and explained the card is NOT graded…only the cello pack. I think he’ll close the listing.

Listing was indeed ended

This was my first thought… that can’t be good for the card. Especially when exposed to higher than normal heat the glue tends to deteriorate and outgas.

Ditto.

I was mainly worried that misinformed buyers could get ripped off.

I think we can all agree that raw is the way to go.

Was kind of excited when I saw the title, that turned to disappointment when I saw the flaps folded back like they do to booster packs lol!
