That’s a pretty significant increase. I’m sure they’ll still continue to use exclusively FedEx, despite literally everyone hating it. They used to swap between FedEx and USPS, probably depending on which was cheaper for them, but I haven’t seen them use USPS in maybe almost two years now. Definitely frustrating all around.

This is ridiculous. Shipping to PSA will be cheaper than the return at these rates, when they probably get a lot better pricing from FedEx than I do. I’d understand a cost correction due to inflation, but this definitely will get me to think twice about continuing to grade with them, and especially what I would grade. Unfortunate, because I just renewed my membership last month.

19 dollar increase for the type of subs I usually send. Could be worse, but it’s still infinitely better than the CGC return shipping cost to Australia.

The return package is probably 10x heavier with the plastic. It might not factor in but the insurance premium should also be way higher. So it makes sense return shipping would cost more.
I feel like the story of the last 5 years is about PSA taking more and more of the flipper profit margin for themselves. Higher fees, upcharges, shipping increase now. I can’t say I blame them but it just further erodes the often thin margins of grading to flip. Just another factor to take note of

My unpopular opinion is that their return shipping prices were usually pretty decent if you sent medium to large orders.
$100 to send a decently heavy package of 76 cards back to Europe in two days works out to a little over a dollar per card.
The smaller orders usually sting but if you’re sending at fast enough tiers prices were still palatable.
At a quick glance the new price structure seems like it will be roughly 50% more expensive for me. Annoying but realistically won’t change how I submit.
