Dang! I get PSA’s reluctance - it’s not a small amount to them - but c’mon! Hiring an attorney in response to your claim?! That attorney was not cheap either. I have to wonder about PSA’s risk management process… And have been questioning sending in my own prized items…
I’m also curious as @bk2021 asked (you don’t have to respond twice), will you use PSA moving forward? (If you are allowed to answer that.)
In any case, glad you received restitution after this laborious ordeal.

I’m guessing 2 things will happen if he continues to use PSA: 1) they will be extremely careful with his items and 2) he will get some of the harshest grading possible lol

Would assume PSA would exercise their right to not do business with someone who litigated against them?

I agree completely. I’m fortunate to be in a financial position where I wasn’t tempted by their initial offer, nor discouraged by the thought of having to spend thousands to make a company do the right thing. And I don’t take that for granted.
I fully recognize that this isn’t how justice should happen. My attorneys and I considered a class action suit, since I have contacts who’ve been in similar situations with them.

@xileets @bk2021 I stopped using PSA the moment I saw PSA’s own images of my damaged pack on its way back to me, and haven’t since.
Theoretically speaking, I feel that if a company was objectively wrong in a matter, and instead of owning up to it and rethinking its policies and practices, it then spends MORE money to avoid doing the right thing and admitting fault (unsuccessfully), they don’t deserve my business.
I recognize that there are other considerations to be made here, including that a PSA 10 copy of a card often holds more value than a BGS 9.5. But is that value differential enough to make a person patronize a company like that, I don’t know.
I also have to consider that this isn’t an indictment of all -or even a majority- of that company’s workforce. I believe most of the company’s staff are honest and decent people.
I’ll just say that Beckett has received a lot more business from me since this saga began.
