@opmystic, I shipped two orders (one package) to PSA the day before their 2nd official “closed” email. Was optimistic by their re-opening… mistake. I checked over the last two weeks to even see if my package got delivered on PSA website and i found nothing (confirmed it was delivered by USPS at least). Because of this thread I just checked if my packaged was delivered and it says it was received…on 4/2. Something must be going on in the background to maybe keep the operation going…

Since they charged you, they had to ship.

Does anyone know if they operate exclusively from CA and NJ?

Maybe they had other offices in different states and made the necessary arrangements to keep processing orders.

PSA doesn’t even pay their workers $15/hr and yet they still won’t hire more people to help with their million+ backlog. I truly doubt that they’d extend themselves to other areas as that would require effort and money

I spoke with them from the phone. Customer service lines are working from home and they are having 2 people attend the offices to push through near complete orders.

That is true, but they also opened a seemingly useless office in Japan. Thought they could have more offices around the US, not even because of Corona, but in case the main ones got crippled by typhoons or forest fires.

@kaldoverde, that’s a good point huge backlogs in USA so let’s go open up in Japan

Anyone have an idea on projected turn-around times with submissions they may have sent in right before the initial shut-down??

At what level are the grades available?

After your status changes to “Shipped”

Ok. And if you have to pay up-charges?

I’ve been debating to finally send in my first submission but I might wait if they’re really THAT backed up

I may have just gotten lucky but PSA may be doing right by express orders these days. I just had a 15-day express order received, graded, and shipped to me in 7 days. The cards were literally out of my hands for 13 total days. I’ve never seen that before.

Hopefully that’s a sign of some changes policies and procedures they implemented in their downtime!

I hope and think this will not affect PSA graded Pokemon cards but everyone should take a look at the FBI case against PSA that is going on currently. Could be interesting what happens with it.
