Just bought both of these from the same seller for $657.41 after tax and shipping. What do you guys think, good purchase or should I have hunted around more?

I’m very happy to have them checked off, they were two of the last cards I needed for the set. Never happy about a potential record sale on a set card, but I think I’m still shy of that.

Good prices! Those 2 cards have increased in value in about 200% in the recent months so i think you did get a great deal.

I paid $60 for the mag psa 9 and $70 for the gyarados psa 9 in july 2017. I kinda felt like I could have paid less, I think in 3 years you will feel as happy about the purchase as I do

An ungraded and unlimited shining gyarados (looked like psa 7-8) sold for $135. It lasted 3minutes online lol.
A psa7 shining karp 1st is at $250. Prices are nuts for these cards but to be fair is hard to get these in a great condition as well.

I paid 80 for Magikarp and 110 for Gyarados both in light played to near mint first edition great shape just minor whitening on the backs. I had no idea unlimited was selling this high already Edit this was January/February this year
