PSA 10 with obvious defects - keep?

I dont think that certs really matter at all, for every pristine 4×××××× i could show you several misgraded 4xxxxxx and vice versa for 2××××××. In reality, alot of the PSA 10 WoTC cards with low pops are old certs.

Has anyone had any luck fishing for BGS black labels? I’ve been thinking of maybe attempting that with a lower value card that I particularly like.

Yeaaaaaaa that’s not a 10 haha! Really poor QC…A spec of white or maybe 2 is fair enough but that card is something else ha. Id struggle to justify it being a 9 let alone 10. 8.5 imo but I dont know Jack :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t even know if most people have realized a PSA 9 and a PSA 10 is the same for most cases. 10s always have a whitening spot it seems like. 9s are usually half a third or much less then the 10 cost. I could never justify the price difference. 8s are usually too low but decent. I’ll always be a 9 collector tho. Justin Beaver and the rich people can have the 10s and pay that premium. Meanwhile I’ll stick to 9s!

When the buyer goes looking for PSA 10s within PSA 10 cards, this is what you get … as SMP and KP pointed out, one can go crazy going micro-obsessed on all purchases. I am sure buyers can find even minute flaws with a Black Label if it is magnified 1,000,000 times … Perhaps just start your own perfect grading company or just buy and grade your own cards to your standards of perfection to be a happy person
