so I had a look at this card on ebay and all the listings are for like 3000 which seems like alot seems like its the going price at the moment. Im wondering why the sudden price increase with this card and when comparing the card to others at the same price point it seems to fall short but is fetching the same price for example shinning zard, shadowless blastoise and many others. any knowledge on the market price would be great and much appreciated

Despite Team Rocket being one of the most heavily printed wotc sets, dark magneton still has a low PSA 10 pop. Lots of people like TR and want PSA 10 master sets and this is usually the last card they need = high demand = high price

There’s fewer than people who want them. There’s fewer cause they’re tough to grade.

That price point isn’t sudden. It’s been a very pricey card for a long time, much like Yanma and Typhlosion have been pricey relative to their grading difficulty.
