Problem with a listing i won

I won on an auction a claimed to be complete mint japanese jungle set, i asked the seller again for condition and he said cards are mint he packpulled them and then straight into sleeves… Today it came and 2 cards are missing parasect and nidorina… Also cards are not in any way mint… 90%are in good shape but there are some cards with bends whitenings and a lot of scratches (all of them have scratches especially on the back), i messaged him and he said cards are not missing and every thing is mint… But the cards where missing from his own listing too so he couldnt claim i was lying there… He is offering 5 pounds refund… Im not happy with that bc if i knew cards where missing i would never bid… Also im not happy with the condition and i will have trouble finding those cards since no one in greece where i live collects japanese cards, what do you guys think i sould do?

If you aren’t happy then submit item not as described case and return it. You have a case because cards were missing

Yeah, based on the description, that’s pretty sad. A mint set for that price would have been amazing but you know what they say about if it sounds too good to be true…

Just return, looks like an easy win for you.

Thanks guys just one more thing, shipping was 22 pounds… Im i supposed to pay that or the seller bc listing wasnt right? Seller aays he doesnt accept returns

If you didnt get what was described then the seller is in the wrong. You can’t not accept returns on ebay hah

Do eBay sellers pay for return shipping?
To attract more buyers, you should consider offering free return shipping on your items. However, eBay only requires sellers to pay for return shipping when the buyer requests a return and reason for one of the following reasons which are considered “not as described”: It doesn’t work or is defective.

If you wanted to return because you changed your mind…that is different. However the item wasnt what you were expecting or what was described in the listing.so the seller should have to pay, I would open a case and go from there.

(are you from England? why was the postage £22!!!did he send bricks along with the parcel)

Thanks for the info im from greece and he is from uk

Ahh ok! No problem  If you are unhappy and have a case for a return on grounds that what you received was not as described…send it back. He may up his partial refund if he has to pay return postage, but go through the standard returns procedures.

this is what it says on the p+p on the listing

Thanks, i was planning on keeping it but 4 cards are bended and there are lot of scuffs and scratches on some cards… He also put the word psa in the title so that means that he understads a bit more about condition… Im not longer interested in keeping it, problem now is i havent ever sold anything on ebay, so i dont know how to choose a shipping program to make the return

Dont return until you have put the case for not as described and gone through ebay. They will explain what you need to do, and youll be given an address to ship to. Dont send anythign until going through that road, if the seller doesnt respond to the case within x amount of days then you dont need to return. I wouldnt message the seller again until your case is put forward.

Alright thanks bro

thats a shame, its such a lovely set in Japanese :slightly_frowning_face:

Ok so i opened a case and i refused to split shipping… He brings up ebay, they say im right and i wait for him to refund and send me his adress… Case was put on hold 3 times until i was finally refunded(without me shipped his stuff back or heard anything from him) so now he contacted ebay and claimed he was trying to message me but since the case was opened there where no messages from him… I suppose he wants the set back…now that i am refunded and still dont have any adress to ship can i keep the set or ebay ca n take the refund back? What are my options? (like ebay is checking the messages betwin me and him right? Wtf lie about trying to contact me when theres nothing in my dms)

The seller’s getting some karma for what he did, lol.

Yes once the case was open he should have been messaging you via the case – eBay can clearly see that if that’s the case (I’ also assumingthey can also see your message correspondences, so you’re good there). In terms of an address… have you tried contacting him to ship the items back somewhere?

No i did what geg89 suggested and thats how it ended… I dont believe he even refunded me… I dont know if that can happen but maybe i was refunded by ebay and not him directly since he wasnt helping the case and now he ended up with nothing so he is trying to at least get his set back

The seller on eBay will usually send a prepaid label for you to send the items back via the case finalising.
