First of all, I don’t really think the economy situation actually affects, at least it doesn’t here in Spain.
About MasterBall Reverse Holos, I think they can be good to make bulk cards whose artwork mostly go unnoticed actually valuable, since from 2020 to now people judge cards by it price (sadly). I love how they are managing them this time, adding extra foil and most important, texture that interacts with the artwork. I agree they should have tested it in Shrouded Fable, that set sucked and MasterBall Reverses could have given it something unique.
Completely agree about the SIR argument, 0,5% of getting a SIR should just be illegal in some way or another.
Finally, remember Pokémon is a business with the main purpose of making easy money (AKA Reprinting Base Set for the 53th time). If SWSH Era sells better than SV, they are reprinting SWSH. If ppl still want Crown Zenith, they can keep reprinting it. They are actually profiting from this situation of scalpers and that sh*t since they are getting all their product sold.
I can’t believe I’m old, know this song but have never seen this video
Well, from the reveal of having 0 ARs in Terastal Festival, the textured Poke/Masterballs have just been unable to recreate the same kind of hit feeling.
PokeRev was basically saying that after opening 200 packs and I am pretty sure the majority feels the same. It’s nice to have textured art but they are more comparable to reverse holos that people skip over.
If they want to add it in sets again it has to be like Radiant cards, this experiment is a massive failure.
In addition to that, no idea what TPCi were thinking with the SIR pullrates. Clown company.
That said, it doesn’t really affect me directly since I don’t buy any packs but if it’s as bad as they are then singles prices will take a real long while to go down.
