Can anyone shed some light on the number of 1st edition base set cards printed? # of rares, uncommons and commons. I have been searching everywhere but no place seems to have in dept information on the printings.

ahh, i wonder if anyone has estimated figures? The first set of mtg is figured 8000 of each rare. I was hoping to see what kind of number it is to determine the % of a card to collect.
