It’s more a PSA 10 premium on the card (compared to 1st ed) than a corrected premium. The PSA 9 corrected copy sold for a bit less than what the 1st ed copy sells for.
The corrected PSA 10 with the label is still pop 8 (PSA 9 is pop 71) which is definitely the biggest factor here
When i made this thread originally. I wanted a genuine value on the card
I made the incorrect assumption that people would have sent in their cards for a new psa label.
It turns out, people were selling the card as corrected without the label
So i grossly misjudged the population.
If the ACTUAL population was less than 10,
Maybe it would get this 5 figure premium. Something like $18k might actually be realistic
Blaines charizard unlimited has a pop of 415
If 10% of them are corrected, in addition to the ones with the corrected label, then In reality i think the real population is something closer to 50
Admittedly I just love the card. I figure CGC is the best way to get the best quality version for the price. Not paying $25k+ for one. But can’t find any CGC 10’s!
Just wanted to share a recent comp for this - I sold my PSA 10 copy last March or so for $7,500. Ryan’s cardhouse bought it and I’ve been told he flipped it earlier this year or end of last year for roughly 12k.
