Price Check - PSA 9 Groudon EX Full Art - Dark Explorers

I feel that way too. Often times I send in a handful of cards I feel should get 9s, and then I get back 10s.

I feel like if we were given a true, objective standard, everyone would be wrong. You’d have the people that get dinged for being optimistic. And then there would be the pessimistic people equally wrong on the other side.

I’ve seen pictures of graded cards that members here were positive deserved a ten. And the card got a ten. Then I look and it’s got something blatantly wrong with it that’s hilarious to me.

tl;dr I seriously doubt the scrutiny of even the more seasoned graders and their ability to do much better.

That’s my opinion, at least. Since we all get one.

@bagoly14

I don’t think any products contain EBB packs other than boxes (since it was a concept pack).

There are definitely UED boxes, though. AmiAmi probably only stocks UED these days. :blush:

You’re partly right bags.
Two graders don’t look at a 6 (or 7s, 8s, or 9s) All 10s are supposed to be double checked.though.
Isn’t this common knowledge amongst everyone here?

You’ve never mentioned that only 10s get double checked. That would explain why cards that get 9s or even an 8 that can regrade as a 10. With that knowledge bi can see how mistakes are made on 10s but how the double Le check for 10s works.

All cards are supposed to be checked by two graders THEN if the graders disagree one 9 and one 10 a supervisor breaks the tie. that’s all on the record;)
That’s on the record and not always the way it goes. Let’s just say that:)

I don’t want to pay what it would cost for all 9’s to be double checked as well. Haha. I’m too poor for that.

I might be able to help out if you are still working on the 1ED set as wel.

Inbox me. :blush:

It is more expensive to purchase the cards after release – but worth it if you are concerned about condition. As time passes, it is less likely that cards hitting the market will be as well preserved. Well, you already know that. :stuck_out_tongue: I was shocked how difficult it was to complete the early BW sets. When I started, BW5 had just been released yet BW1 had long since dried up.
